Burton Street

The Burton Street Project

When we launched the website one of the ambitions was to visit the Burton Street School just off Langsett Road in Sheffield. This is where a number of key scenes were filmed including the famous dole queue scene, where the lads can't help but dance to Donna Summer whilst waiting to sign on.

When we contacted Burton Street we found that this was no derelict school as we expected. Instead we found a massive project underway with a number of fantastic initiatives there from learning facilities to a recording studio as well as some outstanding charity work.

It seemed the logical thing to do to adopt the Burton Street Project as our charity for the site, which gives the site a real purpose as now not only can we celebrate our favourite movie and have fun, but we can raise money for a fantastic charity too !

The Burton Street project has it's own website detailing just some of the fantastic things it does for the city of Sheffield, home of the Full Monty - click the link to visit and see for yourself.
